The Divine Humorist

I am not a religious fanatic , but i ain't a atheist either... like all normal ppl i do beleive that there s a Force which guides us and sees over us. Recent times ,esp after college and dad's retirement have prompted me to spend more time outta home (dont ask :| )..
The other day feeling so down in the dumps after being dumped (forgive the pun) just wanted some peace and quiet , and the only way to get those 2 nowadays are while sleeping (at night, of course sleeping @ noon is always outta question in my area , u always have these little kids in the streets shouting "POWER RANGERS SPD EMERGENCY" and continuing t with the theme song - ta ta da ta ta da ta ta da) and at places of worship.
That particular day even after playing with all the kids in my street and still feeling upset, decided to go to a Shiva temple which s a lil far away from my place, on the way there s a small Ganesha temple where i pay my 'respects' while driving, call me sentimental but i feel so crossed f i hadn't seen that particular Mr. Ganesh while on the way to the temple (He has the uncanny ability to be present at every street corner ) .
As  i was driving along ,the temple came into view. Being so upset and all, my sole purpose became to get a view of the jolly good God. As  i neared the temple (was close to tears by the time i came so)  the sanctum sanctorum came into view and i was about to cup my hands in a mark of respect and to my horror there was a lady blocking the full view of Ganesh and more worse she was holding a broom and pointing t towards me (cleaning the place probably) . I dint stop and as i drove away even though i was initially miffed , a small smile broke out at the awkwardness of the situation and the events of the day vanished away in a instant and was feelin lighter.
Some  may see this , not being able to see the deity and all,as a bad omen but i know better, the purpose for which i came to the temple was done. Felt normal again. Strange are His ways .. Guess He has a funny bone after all :)
